Kaguya-hime no Monogatari
Two LAC siblings set out to hunt historical artifacts on Terra
(Scene: Spaceship LS-343 entering orbit)
Yoko: I can never get over the beauty of entering the orbit. These rich blue oceans look a lot prettier from here than they do from back home.
Akio: You always say that, Yoko. I do not understand your fascination with this planet. It’s just another Gaia world like the millions in the Hive’s empire.
Yoko: Of course you wouldn’t understand me. You are always busy tinkering with iron suits that you have forgotten the beauty of this world. These islands that we are heading to are the place our Akane tribe comes from.
Akio: It’s has been aeons since our people left this god forsaken place. Stop with the nostalgia, it’s time to move on. Gaia planets are the worst uhhh. Let’s just get this trip over with and head back to Luna. I need to finish my Retallic suit soon.
Yoko: *hums some ancient Japanese song*
LC-343: T-5 Minutes to Destination
[Scene: Foothills of Mt. Fuji]
Yoko: Enhance the scanner settings, I don’t want to waste this trip and go back empty-handed. You are the smart one here. Do something!!
Akio: I am trying! It’s not my fault that you picked this mountainous region for the search. The composition of the land is messing with our calibrated settings. I need to recalibrate the machine. *Proceeds to tinker with the scanner*
Yoko: How about we go scan the inside of the mountain? This DR-1337 drone should be able to dig safely through the rock with it’s ice blue laser.
Akio: Alright, I have finished calibrating the scanner. If it’s the mountain you say, then the mountain it shall be!
[Scene: At the summit of Mt. Fuji]
Akio: The scanner should take 5 minutes to process most of the mountain. Then the drone could scoop out anything we come across.
Yoko: This time it better be something we can pawn for at least a 100 $LUNA. Our previous digs haven’t been fruitful.
5 Minutes pass after Akio turns on the scanner
Akio: Hey look! The machine found something at heart of the mountain.
Yoko: What is it? Better be something good. Enhance it further.
Akio: *zooms in* It looks to be a bamboo shoot?
Yoko: Haha, so another trip wasted for nothing. We should scavenge on Mars from now on. I have heard that scavenging the Martian oceans has made fortunes for many.
Akio: But think about it? Why would someone leave a bamboo shoot in the middle of this mountain of all places? We need to find out what it is. I am sending the drone in.
DR-1337 drills precise hole and retrieves the bamboo
Yoko: Why is it glowing? The scanner didn’t reveal anything radioactive about the artificat.
Akio: It must be a mutation of bamboo that came into being from being under the crushing pressure of this mountain.
Yoko: Either way I am done with this hunt. We are taking this back and trying to pawn this thing for $10 LUNA.
Akio: As you say. There seems to be no other artifact in the mountain besides this one. So let’s call it a day.
[Scene: Inside the spaceship, T-4 minutes to Luna]
Yoko: It’s strange that this bamboo has been glowing more brightly as we are nearing Luna. The surface seems to be turning white too.
Akio: It must be due to change in gravity. This might be a really unique mutation. I reckon it could fetch $15 LUNA if we market it better.
[Scene: Inside the spaceship, landed at Luna]
The ship has grown surpisingly cold. Colder than usual
Yoko: I see that this thing has now turned pure white. It looks even prettier now than it did before.
Akio: Don’t get attached to it. Remember we have it to pawn it off.
Yoko: Let’s get out and head straight to the crater city. The pawn shops there pay more.
Yoko and Akio prepare to leave the ship. The door opens and they see a sight that will stick with them for the rest of their lives.
The siblings are greeted by a humaniod completely White wearing a traditional Japanese dress
